xylophone

This activity was about making xylophone.

To make a home made xylophone you will need to fill 4 cups of water with different amounts. After you have get 4 pieces of paper and roll them into a tube and use tape to hold it. Lastly get a pencil and hit the glass and tube with it. The way it works is when you hit the cups of water it will cause vibrations the more water the less vibrations which makes a lower pitch.

I thought making a home made xylophone was fun.

Thank you for sharing your nanogirl xylophone creation! I really like that you’ve explained what you needed to do for the challenge and how it works! I can see that you have used some awesome colours for your xylophone tubes and I like that you can see the glasses of water you used in the photo as well!

It would be awesome to see you playing your xylophones so we can hear how it sounds! Would you be able to record yourself playing them and upload it to your blog post, so we can have a listen to your musical creations?

Ka pai Mahdi, and I can’t wait to hear your xylophones!

    Ngā mihi,
    Elle (SLJ)
