Today's first activity was about creating a kowhaiwhai pattern.
First we made a copy of a template which had a kowhaiwhai. Then we kept duplicating the kowhaiwhai to make our own kowhaiwhai pattern.
After we chose what colur the background was going to be. I chose red because I was trying to go for a accurate resemblance.
I enjoy completing teasers.
I am a Year 6 student at Panmure Bridge School, Auckland, New Zealand. My teachers are Mr Wong and Mr Ogilvie.

Hello Mahdi, this is Elle from the Summer Learning Journey team.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your kowhaiwhai artwork. I really like that you wanted to go for an accurate resemblance and that you used such bold colours for your pattern! What does your kowhaiwhai represent to you?
I also like that you shared your experience making it, so that you can teach others how to create their own kowhaiwhai patterns. I’m glad that you enjoyed the activity, what did you enjoy the most about it?
Ngā mihi nui and have a great day - I’m looking forward to seeing what you do next!
