Cultural Art | Viper

Today I completed a digital version of the Viper.

First I used Google to find an image of the Viper. Then I traced around the image using the curve line.

Then I resized the parts of the digital Viper so their was no white bits. Then I coloured the the Viper using custom and normal colours.

Then I made lines to try and mimic the vipers pattern.

This animal links to me because it can be found in Afghanistan and I was born in Afghanistan.

Geometric Art

For art we are making geometric art using masking technique. Geometric means simple shapes and curves and masking means to cover or hide something.

First we practised of sectioning digitally so we can get a felling of what it is going to be like.

Then we moved on to our real copy. First we covered the frame with masking tape. Then we started to section of big than section of smaller piece's with masking tape.

Next we coloured our art with pastel we moved a pastel in one direction to get a good look.

I really enjoyed doing this activity and I think my art looks good.

Art

For art we were making a story using aboriginal art. Aboriginal art tells a story from the aboriginal's beliefs witch is called Dreamtime stories.

We first practised the aboriginal symbols. The different types of symbols are: footprints, stars, travelling signs, boomerang, water hole, rivers and more.

The story I was trying to tell was about a fish and a turtle swimming and working together to escape a shark.

I enjoyed telling my story with aboriginal art and learned new things about the aboriginal culture.
