For art we were making a story using aboriginal art. Aboriginal art tells a story from the aboriginal's beliefs witch is called Dreamtime stories.

We first practised the aboriginal symbols. The different types of symbols are: footprints, stars, travelling signs, boomerang, water hole, rivers and more. 

The story I was trying to tell was about a fish and a turtle swimming and working together to escape a shark.

I enjoyed telling my story with aboriginal art and learned new things about the aboriginal culture.

Measurement length | Maths

Length is how long an object is. Our standard measurement are millimetres (mm) centimeters (cm) meters (M) and kilometres (km) . There are many different tools people can use to measure things in standard form, like: rulers meter rulers and measuring tapes.

Estimating is an educated guess on the amount of something. After someone estimates, they measure the objects to find out the real measurement.

To convert centimeters to millimetres multiply the number by 10 to convert centimeters to meters divide by 100.

Properties of sound

Sound is a noise that travels into a persons ears. Property is something that belongs to a thing or a person.

One property of sound is that it sound gets weaker. This is proven because Mr Wong clapped on one side of the class room and the meter on the other side of the class room recorded a smaller amount of sound.

Another property of sound is that it sound travels the same in every direction. This is because Mr Wong clapped one meter in front, one meter back, one meter to the left and one meter above and the results were all the same.

The last property of sound is that sound can travel around corners. This is proven to be correct because Mr Wong went behind a wall and clapped and the meter picked up the sound.

Adjectives

There are three types of adjectives absolute adjective, a comparative adjective, and a superlative adjective. 

An absolute adjective describes something alone, for example a hungry wolf. A comparative adjective describes something being compared with something, else here is an example the hungrier wolf. A superlative adjective describes something on the highest level, for example: the hungriest wolf.

The different types of adjectives can help with a person's describing.

The Pato is a modern electric drum inspired by the lali. Rachael Hall the creator of the Pato made the Pato in her finale year at Massey university. To connect back to her tongan heritage and to modernise the lali.

Rachael Hall created many different models of the Pato. Rachael hall used some tools called the lathe and the milling machine. Rachael Hall also made some features that other drums did not have, like a pitch adjuster, a microphone, and volume dial.

Noun Proper noun and Pronoun

There are three different types of nouns, nouns, proper nouns, and pronouns. 

A noun is a word given to a common object.

A proper noun is a word given to a unique object.

A pronoun is a general word given to a object, person, or an group of objects. 

Nouns can help with a person's vocabulary. 

Narration | Reported Speech

Narration is telling people what is happening in a situation. Reported speech is telling what someone else has said. To narrate use third person (people's name, he, she, they and ect), because when a situation is narrated, it is written as if the author is telling a person who is not there about what they are seeing.

First write the person's name, after that write a speech word, like: said, shouted, growled, assured and ect.

Next write what the person is saying but without speech marks. Make sure to change all the first and second person words to third person words (example: Micheal confessed to his friend, that he was scared of sheep).

Finally, finish the sentence with a full stop '.' .

Narration is a good way to tell stories.
