The Three Little Pigs | Draft

I created a draft of my fractured fairy tale.

First, I looked on my plan that I created last week and changed a few things. The things I changed were the characters and settings.

Next, I wrote down each part that happed in the real story and changed a few parts.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to write my own story use my imagination.

Fractions

This week we Identifyed fractions.

Fractions are a whole divided into  pieces.

Fractions have something call a numerator and a denominator.

The denominator is the number at the bottom of a fraction. It shows you how much pieces there are.

The numerator is the number above a fraction. It shows you how much pieces you have.

This task was a little easy because some of the gaps were already filled in.

SSR Selfie | Hot Dog Party Time

I read the whole book of Hot Dog Party Time by Anh Do

Did you know that in Turkey they use clay to bulid there houses.

I enjoyed this activity because Hot Dog is one of my favriot book seris.

Basic Facts Boxes

 I completed a speed demon challenge up to 100. 

My time was 9 minutes and 37 seconds and my score was 100/100. 

I need to practice my basic facts boxes up to 100 because I think I could of gone faster.

Fairy Tales | Week 3

I created a google doc where I changed parts of a story called the three little pigs.

First, I thought of some stories that I could use for the google doc. I chose the little pigs.

Next, I wrote the settings, characters, confleit, start, and ending.

Lastly, I created a google doc and info about the fairy tale on it.

I found this activity hard because it didint make sense somtimes.

Writting | Typing

I did a can-do activity called dance dancing mat.

First I went on dancing typing mat and set up a 15 minute timer.

Next I put my finger on the home row keys.

Lastly I took a screen shot of my results and put it on a google slide and write what I needed to improve on.

I need to memorise the keys and type faster.

Reading | SSR Selfie

For SSR Selfie I read a book called Nature's Deadliest Creatures.

For this task you read the book for 15 minutes and answer questions like whats the main topic for this book and what are key pieces of the main topic.

The main topic is animals and the key pieces of the main topic how dangerous animals are animal habitats and sizes.

I enjoyed reading this book because it has a lot of interesting facts.

Tongan Language Week

This week I did a task based on the Tongan Language week.

We got to choose from counting from 1 - 10 in Tongan, Greetings in Tongan, Maths.

I chose do to counting, I made a slideshow of fingers going up to 10 showing the Tongan words.

This task was hard because I don't know how to count in Tongan.

Maths | Problem Solving

Today we used place value to solve an equation.

First we started with the ones by adding them togather 4 + 6 + 7=10. Then we add them togather 10+7=17.

Next we added the tens togather wich is 20 + 20 + 10=50. Next we added the tens and ones togather which is 50+17=67.

Now we know she practised for 67 minutes. So then we subtracted 67 from 90. 0-7 is not possible so we did 10-7=3.

Lastly we did 80-60=20 then we added that togather which is 23 so Leilani needs to practise for another 23 mins.

I learnt from others because I didn't understand the equation.

Madlibs

My group and I did an activity called madilibs. We had to write down: a girls name, a colour, a kitchen utensil, an action you do to someone, a number under 10, a pop star, and an eating utensil.

First, we wrote down a girl name and a kitchen utensil. The girl name was Jessica and the kitchen utensil was a fork.

Next we wrote down a colour and an action you do to someone. The colour was green and the action was a slap

Then we wrote down a number under 10 and a pop star.. Our number was 5 and the pop star was Micheal Jackson

Lastly we wrote down an eating utensil. The eating utensil was a spoon.

Writting | Dance Mat Typing

I did a can-do activity called dance dancing mat.

I need to Improve on typing the correct keys and stop looking at keyboard.

Maths | Basic Facts Boxes

I completed a subtraction Speed Demon Challenge up to 100.

I got all the answers correct and my time was 16 minutes.

I need to practice more so I can get faster at my basic facts up to 100

Reading | SSR Selfie

I have read 14 pages of Alex Rider Eagle Strike.

This book talks about Alex Rider being the only one who can stop Sir Dmian Cray the most popular man in the world who is secertly a mad man bent on destruction.

I enjoyed reading this book because it has a lot of action and detail. 

Reading | SSR Selfie | Nature's Deadliest Creatures

For this task you read the book for 15 minutes and answer questions like whats the main topic for this book and what are key pieces of the main topic.

The main topic is animals and the key pieces of the main topic how dangerous animals are. The animals are rated 1-5 on the danger scale the higher the number the deadlier the creatures, animals habitats and animals sizes.

I enjoyed reading this book because it has a lot of interesting facts.

Basic Facts Boxes | Maths

I attempted the speed demon challange.

I got 100/100. My time was 4 minutes and 56 seconds.

I need to practis more because my time was slow and because I need to push myself to do harder and harder basic facts.

 

Find a Fact | Inquiry

I completed a can-do activity called fact find. This task is about informations about something like a person or a topic. I did a fact find about an athlete called Gabi Rennie

First I wrote in my introduction. Gabi Rennie was born on the 7th of july 2001 in Christchurch. Gabi has 2 siblings Liam Rennie and Lachlan Rennie.

Next I wrote down five facts about Gabi Rennie. For Example: She started plying football at the age of 5.

To finish up I put in the information sources.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt new instresting facts about Gabi Rennie.

Steps Web

Today I did some step webs.

The first activity I did was Drop. In this activity you have to drag the words to the correct boxes to make a word.

I enjoyed this activity because I leart how to spell new words.
 

Madlib

Today I did and activity with LS1. We got into groups and we needed to put and animal, person's name,unit of time,adjective (not colour), city, adjective (not colour), and a type of clothing, colour.

First, we wrote a farm animal and the animal we picked was a pog.

Next, we wrote a city and the city was auckland.

Then, we wrote down a number between 1-20 and the number we pick was 17.

Then, we wrote an unit time and the unit time was days.

Then, we wrote down two adjectives but not a colour. The two adjectives were ancient and dirty.

After, we wrote down and person's name and it was Jake.

Last, we wrote down a type of clothing and a tyoe of clothing was a shirt.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to make a funny story.

Writting

I completed a can-do that is called Dancing Mat Typing. 

It helps me to type a bit faster and properly

First I did leve 1 for dancing mat typing and did it for 15 minute.

I placed my hands on my keyboard and I wrote the word that were shown on my screen and I had to type it as fast as I could and corectly

Lastly I put my results on mygoogle slide. Then I wrote What I had to practise on more.

I need to practise on foucsing on typing a bit slow.
