The moon is the closest object to earth. Scientists have found ice at the poles on the moon. Scientists think the ice was left over by a comet that once collided with the moon. The moon is like a desert with lots of craters, plains, and valleys. The moon orbits our planet in a oval shape. The moon has lots of holes because space objects hit the moon making these craters.Neil Armstrong was the first person to go on the moon. The moon is 4.58 billion years old. Scientists believe that the moon was formed by a big rock.
